Arsenal: Were they really title contenders if the world knew the end

The era of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp has been really underrated in the premier league if anything, and Arsenal has shown to the world why Liverpool and Klopp deserve more respect.

Without the German, the so-called hyped up football league in the world would be just like any other European League that’s all about making its money through publicity and not competitiveness. And all thanks to his arch rival, Pep Guardiola, whose coming has exposed how weak the league truly is beyond doubts.

Arsenal went into the Sunday premier league fixture against Brighton, looking to recover grounds after Manchester City had re-established its 4 points lead following their victory against Everton in a 0-3 whooping. However, as the result at Full Time shows, the Gunners failed massively to get something on Brighton let alone against City.

The North London side not only showed why the premier league has in the last 5 seasons become so weakened, but to show pundits whoever believed Arsenal were title contenders, were so wrong to even put such narratives in the media.

Mikel Arteta went into the game versus Brighton just like he had done in the 2021/22 season, just to lose more ground against the league leaders like he had done against Tottenham the prior season, raising questions Arsenal fans would sadly not want to voice out but want answered.

Take out the 11 points they stole from the Reds and the Blues, Arsenal will sure not be in a title race like many had believed, had Liverpool and Chelsea had some steam in early stages of the season.
