Aaron Ramsdale brags about being Arsenal's hero

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has taken credit for his side’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, saying his saves rescued the Gunners from a potential loss. The highly-anticipated match between two Premier League giants saw Ramsdale make some crucial late saves to deny the home side a victory.

Gabriel Martinelli put Arsenal in front and Gabriel Jesus doubled their lead in the first half, but Jurgen Klopp’s side quickly pulled one back through Mohamed Salah. However, the match could have ended differently if not for Ramsdale’s late-game heroics.

Ramsdale made two stunning saves in added time, first denying Salah’s 95th-minute strike after it took a deflection, and then stopping Ibrahima Konate’s shot from three yards out just a minute later.

Speaking after the match, Ramsdale said, “They’re a top side. It might be two points dropped but we could have dropped three. There’s no better game to play in than these games. At least my saves have helped us out!”

The England international also praised his team’s performance, saying, “I thought we were excellent. For 50 to 60 minutes, we were very good, but we got unlocked by two goals.”

The draw leaves Arsenal in a dangerous position going into their next games specifically against Newcastle United and Manchester City at the Etihad.
