Lagos State University (LASU) recently welcomed 1,500 students into its 2023/2024 sandwich degree programmes at a ceremony held in Ojo, Lagos.

The event, led by LASU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, emphasized the programme’s significance in offering education opportunities to working professionals and individuals with busy schedules.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello, represented by Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), highlighted LASU’s commitment to accessible education, particularly through the Sandwich Degree Programme across various campuses.

Safety on campus was emphasized, with the Vice-Chancellor noting LASU’s digitalized administrative processes aimed at streamlining access to academic resources.

Prof. John Adeogun, Director of the Sandwich Degree Programme, encouraged students to prioritize class attendance and focus on achieving their degrees.

He assured students of LASU’s support for their welfare and the enhancement of learning facilities.

Students were reminded of the university’s expectations regarding behavior, with emphasis on upholding ethical standards and representing LASU positively.
