Microsoft Boosts Text Clarity in Chrome for Windows Users

Microsoft has announced the termination of support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025.

Users must subscribe to Extended Security Updates (ESU) for continued secure usage, starting at $61 for the first year. The fee doubles annually.

Businesses and consumers need separate licenses for each device.

ESUs are traditionally offered to organizations with older Windows versions. ESUs for Windows 10 are a first due to its continued popularity.

Microsoft views ESUs as a temporary solution.

Discounts are available for cloud-based update solutions users.

Schools receive significant discounts.

Microsoft advises transitioning to Windows 11.

However, strict hardware requirements limit Windows 11’s adoption. Windows 10 remains prevalent, used by 69% of Windows users. Windows 11 adoption stands at 27%.
