Asisat Oshoala to leave Barcelona
Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala is poised to finalize a move to the United States National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side, Bay FC, this week.
The Nigerian striker’s current contract with Spanish club Barcelona in the Iberdrola league is set to expire this summer, prompting her transition to the American league.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, Bay FC is reportedly set to secure Oshoala’s services with a transfer fee of €150,000.
The 29-year-old, who previously played for Chinese club Dalian Quanjian before joining Barcelona in 2019, has had a successful stint with the Blaugrana, winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League title twice during her tenure.
Oshoala’s career has spanned across top clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies
After a 5-year stint in Spain, Asisat Oshoala is set to test the American waters with Bay FC.
