As the 2021/22 season slowly reaches its halt, clubs vastly prepare to challenge for the coming since, and Arsenal rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs aren’t any different as Antonio Conte looks to a fresh start.

On loan players, Kulusevski and Cristian Romero who joined the club in the winter transfer are said to have impressed the Italian a lot that he sees the need to include them in his plans for the coming season.

And in response, Tottenham are set to complete the exciting double swoop by making their deals a permanent one for the players.

The duo have been on loan in north London this season as head coach Antonio Conte looks to rebuild the Spurs team in his image.

According to sports journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League club will invest around £67million [€80m] for the two players.

Conte’s side already have a chance next season for Champions League football after Arsenal’s loss at Newcastle ensured they stayed 2 points above North London rivals till final match day, assuming they are able to win Norwich or draw them. A place in the Champions League spot puts the club further in position to improve on the squad for Conte.

Though Harry Kane and Heung Min Son have been the star performers of the Tottenham side, Kulusevski and Romero have added a gem to the squad that Conte is very much happy with to spend the sum on the 2.

Since arriving on loan from Juventus in the winter window, Kulusevski has been an effective attacker in areas that have seen him record three goals and eight assists, gifting him an 11 goal contribution ratio in 19 appearances so far.

Cristian Romero also has done his part improving the Spurs defense with pundits praising him as the defender that Tottenham had been crying for in ages, with popular pundit, Jamie Carragher saying of the player:

“Every time I watch him play, he takes the ball, he is aggressive. He reminds me of Ricardo Carvalho at Chelsea.

“He isn’t the biggest of defenders, but he is clever, he’s switched on, he is cool on the ball. I think Tottenham have a real player there.”
