Tragedy struck the Nigerian Christian community as two pastors met untimely deaths within a span of just 24 hours.

The first incident occurred at a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) parish in Abule-Ori, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Gunmen stormed the church during a vigil, tragically killing the pastor and abducting seven church members.

However, swift action was taken by the So-Safe corps, a security outfit in Ogun State.

They launched a rescue operation, successfully saving the kidnapped victims and eliminating one of the kidnappers in the process.

The second incident involved the passing of renowned Nigerian pastor, Pastor Runcie Mike.

As the Lead Pastor of The Evening Church in Uyo, he had conducted a burial service just a day before his sudden demise.

Pastor Mike, who had been battling a brief illness, breathed his last on July 1st, 2023.

The news of his passing was confirmed by the church’s leadership, leaving members and friends shocked and devastated.

The church called upon the wider Christian community to offer prayers and support to the grieving family during this difficult time.

A video shared by Debbie Iteh captured the solemn moment when Pastor Mike conducted the burial service the day prior to his own passing.
