“You lay groundwork for breakup by helping a partner self-actualize”
Sometimes, helping a partner achieve his/her dream is laying the grounds for your future breakup, a Nigerian doctor asserts from life’s many paradoxes.
Life can be a paradox, sometimes good people get rewarded with evil for good deeds, and other times the ground works for a foundations built, end up getting destroyed by the very bricks that build it.
According to a Nigerian doctor, identified as Obinna Aligwekwe, couples lending a helping hand to their partner while in a relationship stand the risk of laying the bricks that would lead to their eventually breakup or separation.
This is in obvious response to famed stories of men or women at one point during their relationship with a significant other, ended up ruing lending a helping hand to assist their partner in self-actualizing their dreams.
There have been tales, specifically in the typical Nigerian setting of a man sponsoring a would-be wife into school, or establishing businesses for the fiancé just to have the woman grow out of the relationship at the latter stages. There are also situations of the reversal where the lady takes interests in supporting her would-be Groom, just to have the man turn on her and end up with a different woman at the end.
According to Obinna Aligwekwe, this is a paradox that fates a lot of relationships that has one party trying to help the other self-actualize their dreams.
What if actualizing that dream makes the person in question realize that particular relationship would only become a limitation to achieving that dream?
Life is a paradox that never fails to surprise any, and no matter how much many try to control fate, paradoxes happen to throw things out of balance.
