Wizkid, Sisters At Late Mother’s Funeral Service [Photo/Video]

Social media have been buzzing with different photos and clips taken from the funeral service of the late mother of Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid.

TopNaija reports that the mother of Wizkid, Juliana Balogun nee Oshineye Dawodu Olowosago passed away on August 18, 2023.

A video of Wizkid and his family holding candles at a candlelight procession in honour of the deceased had gone viral..

The singer’s family attended the wake and tributes for the dead, which is taking place at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, and Casino, 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The funeral will be held on Friday, October 13 at 10 a.m. at RCCG City of David COD Church Road, Dideolu Estate, off Ligali Ayorinde St, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Wizkid was born on July 26, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, into a polygamous family with a Muslim father and a Christian mother. His father had three marriages.

Her husband, M.O Balogun, and four children, Yetunde Balogun, Omolara Osunkoya, Olubusayo Balogun, Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid), and numerous grandchildren survive her.
