Obasa to resign days after reinstatement as Lagos Speaker

Mudashiru Obasa who on Monday reclaimed his position as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly may resign when plenary resumes at the hallowed chamber.

According to Legit.ng Obasa’s reinstatement is part of the agreement reached by the opposing parties to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Lagos assembly.

Obasa’s reinstatement came after Mojisola Meranda, who briefly held the position, resigned during a plenary session on Monday.

Speaking after his reinstatement, Obasa expressed gratitude to the lawmakers and called for unity among members of the House.

Mudashiru Obasa also called for an indefinite adjournment of the plenary session.
