What Arsenal fans did to Harry Kane on his return to the Emirates

There is certainly no love lost between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and the fans had to make it known to Harry Kane on his return to the Emirates even though he was donning a different kind of badge this time.

To them, he is still a former Tottenham Hotspur player even though he was once an Arsenal fan.

The Arsenal fans disrupted Harry Kane’s post-match interview with X-rated chants following their team’s draw with Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

The Emirates Stadium witnessed a thrilling encounter on Tuesday as Arsenal and Bayern Munich battled to a 2-2 draw.

The match saw former Gunner Serge Gnabry and ex-Tottenham striker Harry Kane emerge as pivotal figures, turning the game in Bayern’s favor after Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal an early lead.

Kane not only equalized for Bayern with a calmly taken penalty but also set a notable record in the process. His goal marked his sixth against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, making him the visiting player with the most goals at the venue.

Despite Kane’s move from Tottenham to Bayern last summer, Arsenal fans found themselves facing their old nemesis once again. Kane’s prolific scoring record against Arsenal continued to haunt them, with the England captain tallying a total of 15 goals in 20 career appearances against the club.

Following the match, Harry Kane participated in a post-match interview with TNT Sports on the Emirates pitch, accompanied by Laura Woods, Rio Ferdinand, and Martin Keown.

While much of the stadium had emptied by that time, a group of Arsenal supporters remained to watch the interview, seizing the opportunity to taunt Kane.

Arsenal fans directed a popular chant at Kane, ridiculing Tottenham and mocking Harry Kane over Bayern’s struggles in the Bundesliga. Despite Kane’s individual achievements, he has yet to win a major trophy, a fact highlighted by the fans amidst Bayern’s dominance in the German league.

When questioned by Woods about his feelings towards Arsenal fans since leaving the Premier League, Harry Kane responded with a diplomatic acknowledgment, suggesting that there might be a “soft respect” for him among the Arsenal faithful.
