We Aren’t Focusing On the Premier League Table—John Stones
Manchester City just have a way figured out that helps them win the Premier League title which no other English club has figured out, and for John Stones it has come to the point they no don’t need to bother themselves with the league table.
Things for the Etihad side has a way of coming full circle for the team, they only need to play their game and take off strong oppositions one by one as they come.
John Stones, a center-back for Manchester City, has cautioned Arsenal that there is “still a long way to go” in this season’s quest for the Premier League championship.
Stones said that Man City players don’t pay attention to the Premier League standings and pushed Pep Guardiola’s team to maintain its winning streak after defeating Chelsea on Thursday.
Thanks to Riyad Mahrez’s second-half strike, Man City defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to move to within five points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
“We don’t focus on the table, as the manager said before this game there were 66 points to play for.
“There’s still a long way to go and we have got to take it game by game. We’ve got to keep the momentum going.
“If we perform like we did today, I’m sure we will have a fighting chance at the end of the season,” Stones told Sky Sports after the game.
