Ziyech Needs to Start Versus Manchester City

Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech may have started the season as an unwanted man, but following world cup performances, the Blues fan base has clamored for the Moroccan to start the next fixture against Manchester City.

The West London side, suffered an underwhelming result last weekend in their eventual draw against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest, and following the result from the game, it is reason enough to see how the nerves are boiling amongst Blues fans.

Saying Chelsea is having an underwhelming season this league campaign with very much be an understatement, and for the Chelsea fandom, it is quite a worrying thing considering their next fixture is against Manchester City in the premier league.

Fans want the 29-year-old Atlas Lion to start against the champions on Thursday after he was substituted against Nottingham Forest.

Hakim Ziyech will start for Chelsea instead of Raheem Sterling after their 1-1 Premier League tie with Nottingham Forest on Sunday, according to manager Graham Potter.

After Sterling gave the Blues the lead, Serge Aurier helped the Tricky Trees tie the game at the City Ground by taking advantage of a defensive blunder.

Despite his outstanding performance at the World Cup championships in Qatar, where he led Morocco to the semifinals, Potter gave the 29-year-old Ziyech a bench duty before Jorginho replaced him in the 72nd minute.

Fans have already flocked to social media to demand that Ziyech starts ahead of Sterling when Chelsea face Manchester City in their next league game at Stamford Bridge on Thursday. His entrance saw him create opportunities that Chelsea did not take advantage of.

Going online, there are even statements, speculating the former Brighton manager, Graham Potter may very well not be a fan of Hakim Ziyech.
