'We are all winners for our party' — Gov. Aiyedatiwa

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, also the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared on Tuesday that all aspirants under the party were winners.

Speaking during a thank-you visit to the state party secretariat in Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised the calibre of aspirants who contested under the ruling party, affirming their collective victory.

“The conduct of the primary election has come and gone, all 16 aspirants are all winners. We are all winners for our party,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated, emphasizing the unity and strength within the APC.

Expressing gratitude to the party leadership for facilitating a conducive environment for the primary election, Governor Aiyedatiwa stressed the importance of unity among party members to secure victory in the November 16 election.

“We must ensure that all the other 15 aspirants come together to ensure we win the Nov. 16 election, so we can put our house in order before going to the main contest,” he urged.

Earlier, the State Party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, echoed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s sentiments, describing Saturday’s primary election as a family affair. He reiterated the commitment of the APC to retain power beyond 2025.

“The load is now for the entire APC members, and I can assure you this state is always a progressive state. Come November 16, by the grace of God, we will win the election,” Adetimehin affirmed, highlighting the collective responsibility of APC members and leadership to ensure electoral success.
