Troubling photos as suspected thief burnt to ashes in Akwa Ibom

Another case of jungle justice comes into full swing in Akwa Ibom as social media user captures troubling incident of a suspected thief being burnt to roost in Southern Nigeria.

The horrific incident, which occurred along Ikpa Road on Friday morning, March 15, 2024, was captured in disturbing images shared on Facebook by Okoro Chinemerem, a concerned citizen who witnessed the aftermath of the mob’s actions.

There are still very little details about the incident following the report as the local authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, leaving residents of Uyo shocked and dismayed by the brutality that unfolded on their streets.

The charred remains of the victim serve as a grim reminder of the brutal consequences of vigilantism.
