Tottenham Hotspur produced a stunning comeback to draw 2-2 against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, in a match that saw United fans blame manager Erik ten Hag for the result.

The game started with Manchester United taking the lead after just seven minutes through Jadon Sancho, with Marcus Rashford doubling the lead one minute before half time. Tottenham Hotspur looked to be heading for another defeat after their 6-1 thrashing by Newcastle United in the previous game, but they came back strongly in the second half.

Full-back Pedro Porro pulled a goal back for Spurs in the 56th minute before Son Heung Min scored the equalizer with 12 minutes remaining after tapping home a cross from Harry Kane. Despite both teams having opportunities to score a late winner, the match ended 2-2.

Manchester United fans took to social media to express their displeasure over the substitutions made by manager Erik ten Hag, with some claiming that they were the reason for the team’s poor performance in the second half. One fan tweeted:

Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

“Love Erik ten Hag but those subs were horrendous…”, while another wrote: “Erik Ten Hag sold this game with this stupid sub”. This criticism comes after United’s FA Cup semi-final win last weekend, where they were hoping to cement their place in the top four.

Spurs, who are now being led by former player Ryan Mason, moved up to sixth place in the Premier League table after the draw.

They face another tough challenge next as they travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Sunday. Klopp’s side are hoping to mount a late charge for a top four finish, and Spurs will be hoping to build on their positive second-half performance against United to secure a result against the Reds.
