Things get dicey for Liverpool as Alonso says ‘No’
Liverpool are reportedly heading for unchartered waters following the latest updates regarding managerial favorite, Xabi Alonso.
From credible sources, it is believed the Spaniard is choosing to take the less riskier step in his managerial career by taking himself out from the equation of being the next Liverpool or Bayern Munich manager.
According to the updates, the former Liverpool midfielder is choosing to continue his Bayer Leverkusen project for at least one more season rather than jump ship to the obvious candidates. This will of course leave the Reds in a dangerous position of having to choose between 2 of Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi to lead the charge post Jurgen Klopp.
And for Xabi Alonso, it makes it a lot more interesting, considering a season later, the Real Madrid job could potentially be vacant for a return to the Spanish La Liga, and with far more exciting team and prospects.
Currently, the Sporting CP boss, Ruben Amorim is reportedly to be the front leading alternative to Xabi Alonso, a name a lot of Liverpool fans will have reservations for.
It is believed Amorim’s tactical play style is closely similar to Jurgen Klopp’s who reports say the Liverpool hierarchy will greatly fancy in the long run.
Nothing is certain at the moment, but with Xabi Alonso out of the picture, this leaves the Reds in a lot more dicey position to get things right, and it won’t be surprising if the Merseyside club goes outside the box to achieve that.
Right now, if reports from Sky Sports journalist, Melissa Reddy or Fabrizio Romano is anything to go by; Ruben Amorim could be that fish out of the waterΒ that Liverpool may be going for.

Stylistically (press metrics, directness, speed) + silverware against the odds makes Ruben Amorim a strong fit. Hughes is a Roberto De Zerbi fan – for good reason pic.twitter.com/7B2ztJ44fO
