The Dramatic Derby: Tuchel and Conte exchange Blows

Chelsea vs. Tottenham was quite the dramatic derby like no other as its managers came to blows in a heated exchange that resulted from a Spurs equalizer.

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte as a result of some on pitch decisions were at each other’s throat at the closing minutes of the game at the Stamford Bridge fixture.

And like every local derby, it was all built up right from the first half after Kalidou Koulibaly’s first ever goal for Chelsea from a volley that strikers would be proud of scoring.

Then Spurs entered the contest with their own goal to level things through Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, which seemingly came via controversial fashion.

The Blues believed their man, Jorginho was fouled in the box during the build up play and earlier on, Kai Havertz was fouled by Rodrigo Bentancur.

This got the tensions flaring up when Conte proceeded to celebrating the goal outside of his technical space to annoy Chelsea coach.

Tuchel proceeded to confront his opponent with both managers almost getting into a scuffle at the Bridge before the timely intervention of their coaching staff to separate them.

This moment led to yellow card bookings afterwards from the Referee.

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel got his chance to celebrate widely in revenge on Antonio Conte when Reece James came in to put Chelsea ahead again with the German running down the Stamford Bridge touchline in classic Mourinho style.

But Harry Kane’s latter header within the closing minutes of the game, made sure there were no clear winners in the game as everything sat at 2-2.

This did not leave both managers contented as after the final whistle, both managers went into a very physical and almost violent handshake with neither man willing to let go.

The match referee, Anthony Taylor had to come in to separate the pair with 2 Red Cards.

It was definitely the dramatic derby in every way as it was the London derby.
