Singer Victony reacts over accusation of using his disability to become famous

Fast-rising singer, and rapper, Anthony Victor popularly known as Victony has reacted to the accusations that he used his wheelchair accident to attain fame.

A certain Twitter user, identified as Dani acclaimed that the songwriter, Victony used his wheelchair accident to emotionally blackmail Nigerians into giving him fame.

“One day we will talk about how Victony used wheel chair tax on us” the Twitter user wrote.

As one would have expected, fans and followers of the singer descended on him and his mentions.

TopNaija recalls that the Nigerian songwriter, Victony survived a ghastly car crash in April 2021, as he was hospitalized for weeks after he underwent major surgery.

However, as some thought that would be the end of his music career, in the quarter of 2021, Mayorkun and Victony came out with a hit song, titled “Holy Father” and the up-and-coming singer’s fame skyrocketed as he became well known in the Nigerian Music Scene.

However, Victony couldn’t freely move and due to the healing process, he was confined to a wheelchair.

Despite that, Victony could still perform on stages with the Wheelchair, the fans love it.

Amidst the backlash from the Twitter user, Victony himself seemingly responded to that tweet, read what he wrote ;

“Bout time we hand niggas their own mics & wheel chairs for peace sake.”
