Mr Ibu speaks from hospital bed; clears the air on rumour on his health (video)

Popular Nollywood actor and comedian, John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has, from his hospital bed addressed rumors circulating about his health.

The actor, who is currently on medication at a kidney center in Abuja, said the rumors that he is in a critical condition and in need of urgent financial assistance are false.

Mr. Ibu noted that he’s recuperating and as he can walk and do other basic activities, apart from running.

In the video making rounds on social media, he informed the public that his Instagram page has been taken over by hackers and fraudsters who are trying to take advantage of his ill health and swindle people’s money on false donations.

“I no dey anywhere to beg people for money, I’m not as critical as they are talking now…I can walk now, just that I cannot run, please.” He said in part.

His wife, Stella Maris also pleaded with the hackers to stop sending out false words to the public and should seize from their fraudulent activities.

According to her, even though they are not in dear need of financial assistance if one decided to be of assistance they can go through her by coming to the hospital or go through their account manager.

“His Instagram account has been hacked and anybody using that account to collect money, you people should stop it, it’s not good. Any good person or well-wishers that wants to help him should come to the hospital”. His wife, Stella Maris said in parts.
