“Senators received N500m naira each from the 2024 budget” – Senator Jarigbe causes stir upon revelation
During today’s plenary session, Cross River North’s lawmaker, Ayom Jarigbe, stunned everyone with a revelation about the 2024 budget.
In a recent session, lawmakers were discussing the claim made by Senator Ningi regarding the 2024 budget being inflated. During the discussion, Jarigbe accused certain Senators, particularly the ‘Senior Senators’, of receiving N500 million each from the budget.
“We are going front and back on this issues concerning what came to our constituencies. If we want to go into those issues, all of us are culpable. Some so called Senior Senators here got 500M Naira each from the 2024 Budget, I am a ranking Senator, I didn’t get anything. Did I go to the press? Most of you got. No Senator has a right to accuse Senator Ningi.”, Senator Jarigbe said before his microphone was muted.
His other colleagues raised their voices in protest and objection to his claim.
