The 380-metre long sea crossing bridge component of Lagos Blue Line Light Rail project spanning from Mile 2 to Marina axis of the state has been completed, raising hopes that the project will be in use by end of 2020.

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while flagging off the beam bridge across Lagos lagoon, said the completion underscored his administration’s commitment to revive to the Blue Line Rail project and ensure passenger operation.

He said the rail project was top priority for his administration, as it is critical to the achievement of the prioritised pillar of traffic management and transportation in the project T.H.E.M.E.S development agenda.

The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is the company handling the project.

Below are pictures of inspection of the project by top government officials of the state.
