Sadio Mane spills the bean on Jurgen Klopp
Who can ever forget Sadio Mane at Liverpool or under Jurgen Klopp as manager? So many memories for the Liverpool fans and neutrals alike.
Former Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane finally breaks his silence on Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
Following the end of the 2021/22 season that saw the Merseyside giants go on the run for the quadruple, the Reds almost replicated the feat again in the current season only to be stopped by arch rivals, Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter final.
Sadio Mane, a member of the 2021/22 team, opens up on what being managed by Jurgen Klopp felt like prior to and after his departure from Liverpool.
Reacting to the report, the Senegalese was surprised by the idea of the German departing the Reds at the end of the season.
In a quote taken from Mane, the Al-Nassr forward said;
“He said he was leaving Liverpool? Maybe he will come here (laughs). He is someone who left his mark on world football, and personally, he contributed a lot to my progress,”
The winger who now plies his trade close to Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, added;
“He is a great man, a living legend, who brought a lot, a lot to Liverpool. All the work he did there will, I think, be forever engraved in the memory of all the supporters.”
Under Jurgen Klopp, Sadio Mane expanded his reach with Liverpool to become a high profile class of player before departing the Reds for Bayern Munich after the final in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
