Premier League Predictions For The Holidays

The Premier League is a different kind of animal compared to other European Leagues as it has no holiday breaks for its players or coaches, and of course it presents us a chance to give our predictions for the Holiday fixtures.

The League resumes for its Match week 19 with a run of fixtures for the boxing day celebrations, but this time in mid-week and of course, a rare mid-day kickoff for viewers.

It starts today, Tuesday 26th December with Newcastle United 12:30 Nottingham Forest taking into hostile tides at lunch time kickoff.

Following consecutive defeats last week to both Luton Town and Chelsea in the premier league and Carabao Cup respectively, Newcastle will be looking to bounce back and return to winning form. However, Nottingham Forest has a new manager ready to prove himself in the premier league again in Nuno Espirito Santos.

For our premier league predictions for this tie, we see a score draw of 2-2 taking shape to hold off the Magpies.

Bournemouth 15:00 Fulham follows to give fans some dose of excitement at 3 PM kickoff depending on the time zone. We predict a 1-3 win for Fulham.

Sheffield United 15:00 Luton Town is perhaps the fixture that is quite hard to predict considering where both teams are at.

Sheffield and Luton are stuck in the relegation zone and this tie is one of those fixtures that presents either of the two an opportunity to steal points from the other. A draw is as costly as a defeat for both teams.

In our premier league predictions, we see this Holiday tie ending in a 1-0 win for Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United.

Burnley 17:30 Liverpool is where Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp says he wants to be by Christmas. However, the question is, will Vincent Kompany let the Reds get comfortable while at Turf Moor?

Liverpool will be hoping to get back into top spot following this fixture, and hope their bitter rivals, Manchester United can do them a favor by stalling Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

For this premier league fixture, we predict a difficult tie made more difficult by the Reds themselves, however, our predictions has the tie going in favor of Liverpool for a 0-2 win on the road.

Manchester United 20:00 Aston Villa is where Erik ten Hag has to win the Red Devils’ fanbase over. Failure to do so could raise the rising narratives on a sack for the Dutchman. Can the Red Devils keep their consistent losing form and risk another defeat again? Or is this one of those fixtures where Manchester United will deliver to wow its fans?

We predict the clash going in favor of United in a 2-1 ‘shock’ win over the Villans.

Wednesday 27th December brings us its own batch of fixtures with Brentford 19:30 Wolverhampton Wanderers duking it out in London.

Premier League Predictions For The Holidays

In our premier league predictions, we predict a 2-1 win for the Bees, a reverse score line for a Wolves side who were victorious over Chelsea last weekend.

Speaking of Chelsea, the Blues will be fighting their own battle concurrently in Chelsea 19:30 Crystal Palace.

On the back of a 2-1 defeat, Chelsea will be looking to take on London rivals, Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, and hopefully get the win.

However, there is the myth that ‘Chelsea’ always fail to win in the Holidays, but that myth often times work for a day called Boxing Day. Since this fixture takes place a day after Boxing Day, we may want to predict a hard fought 2-0 win over the Eagles for Chelsea.

Everton 20:15 Manchester City is one fixture that Pep Guardiola will not want to play right after winning the Club World Cup, especially with the Toffees being high on confidence and winning games lately.

There is also the fact that Everton for the last 6 or 7 years have been unable to steal points from Manchester City, be it at Goodison Park or at the Etihad. A tough tie to predict, but if we must, we would give Sean Dyche a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola. A shocker for the mid-week and the holidays.

Thursday 28th December ends the match week 19 fixtures with North London clubs taking on their respective opponents at different kick off times.

Which Teams Have Spent the Most Days Top of the Premier League? | The Analyst

Brighton and Hove Albion 19:30 Tottenham Hotspur will come earlier than the Arsenal fixture, with the Seagulls and Spurs battling it out at the Amex Stadium.

For our premier league predictions, we see a Brighton win over Tottenham in a 3-2 win.

Arsenal 20:15 West Ham United ends the night’s fixture.

With the Gunners avoiding a defeat at Anfield last weekend, they will be at the Emirates hoping to return to winning ways against fellow London side, West Ham.

West Ham United on their own part are coming from a 2-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend. A tough premier league tie to predict, but if we must, we see another draw for the Gunners in a 2-2 stalemate.

This of course will hurt their title chances. We could be wrong, but its our premier league prediction for the game.
