Peter Obi is only an Icon on Facebook—Sule Lamido brags
The 2023 drama continues, and this time, former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido is the one throwing heavy punches at Labor Party candidate, Peter Obi.
The former governor states that for the Labor Party presidential candidate, his popularity is nothing more than a farce created for the social media.
The politician believes the noise being made by youths over Peter Obi’s growing support is nothing more than overrated as he left the People’s Democratic Party.
The former Anambra governor recently had picked Datti Baba Ahmed as his intended running mate for the general elections, and when Sule Lamido who has been with the PDP for years, expressed his opinion on the candidacy.
He scoffed at the whole idea of the Labor Party flag bearer winning the polls based on popularity and internet influence.
Sule Lamido told the media that individuals who need to test Peter Obi and his alleged popularity should go to states like Kano, Anambra, etc. and inquire about Obi’s identity.
According to Lamido, whatever responses is gotten would tell how popular the Anambra-born politician is to average folks.
“Go to Kano and call Obi’s name or even to Anambra state, where he served as governor as see how many people know him there,” He bragged.
