Ousmane Dembele is a Man in-between two wars Of Chelsea and Barcelona

Ousmane Dembele’s situation is quite the interesting one as the star has a number of clubs on the hinges particularly Barcelona and London club, Chelsea who are interested in signing the forward this transfer window.

Barcelona are believed to still be holding out for the player to sign a contract extension before his contract officially expires end of the month.

Chelsea are also looking to try and sign a major free agent this summer, and the crucial time appears to be arriving.

The Catalan side could be losing a top player in Dembele for free should his contract expire at the end of the month, but manager Xavi has been doing all in his power to get the Barcelona board to try and reach a compromise that keeps the French international.

According to reports, Xavi is making one final effort to persuade Dembele to stay at the club while getting the club’s hierarchy to offer a deal that he will accept.

Dembele on his end though, has refused every offer the Catalans have placed in front of him, and unless they are significantly improved, it looks highly unlikely that Barcelona would be his home next season.

This situation gives clubs like Chelsea, or rather Thomas Tuchel, the French international’s former manager the thoughts on reuniting with a former player he managed at Dortmund.

With things looking very indecisive with Barcelona, it becomes a race for clubs and also for Ousmane Dembele in this transfer window as the 2022/23 season gears up.
