Otedola gifts one million naira each to 750 students of Augustine University

Famous Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola has received applauds all around the country for his generous action of gifting a total sum of 750 million naira to the students of Augustine University.

TopNaija gathered that the Nigerian businessman and philanthropist was recently officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University, Ilara Epe, the Catholic University of Lagos archdiocese, and to commemorate his official appointment, he decided to gift seven hundred and fifty students in attendance, N1 million each.

Femi Otedola made the announcement on his Instagram page right after the inauguration. According to him, he went on with the philanthropic act to cushion the economic hardship experienced by the parents and guardians of these students.

Sharing a moment of the event, he captioned;

“Today, I was officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University. I strongly believe in transforming establishments that I am associated with, Therefore, to commemorate my appointment and in recognition of the harsh economic situation in our country, I gave a gift of One million to each of the seven hundred and fifty students. I hope this donation of seven hundred and fifty million naira assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time… F.Ote$”
