"No other English club ever. Even if I have nothing to eat" -- Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the FA Cup fixture against Norwich City after the shocker that he would be departing the club at the end of the season, has vowed never to coach any other club in England.

The news about his departure at the end of the season took fans and the media world by storm as no one saw the report coming until it was announced by the club and Jurgen Klopp himself in an interview.

On his potential future post-Liverpool, the German insists that his future resides outside of the premier league once his time at Anfield comes to an inevitable end this season.

“No other English club ever. Even if I have nothing to eat” the legendary Liverpool manager insists.

Maintaining the reason behind his decision to quit Liverpool, Klopp said;

“You have to be the best version of yourself – it means so much to so many people. I cannot do it on three wheels.” asserting his earlier belief of running out of steam to remain at the job.

Jurgen Klopp also debunks former Liverpool player, Jose Enrique’s belief that he is leaving as a result of Fenway Sports Group’s ownership of the club, stating;

“I saw he said it was about FSG, FSG has nothing to do with it.”

The Liverpool legend maintains that the best of his Liverpool career is yet to come, stating in his press conference;

“In my mind the best memories are still to come.”

The former Borussia Dortmund boss when asked if he will play a role in appointing his successor, played coy to the notion, insisting;

“Why should I? What we’ve built over the past 8 and a half years is a very strong structure behind the scenes. The last thing they need is advice from the old man walking out.”

The club’s chairman, Billy Hogan however has this to say about Liverpool’s next manager and Jurgen Klopp leaving;

“It’s hard to put into words. In 2015 Jurgen talked about leaving the club in a better place than when he arrived. He’s certainly done that. This was a decision he was comfortable with and believed in. Something you have to support and respect.”

“I wouldn’t want to set an expectation, first. It’s a process we will go through, and the way this club operates, we will ensure we’ve looked at all the info, data and done our proper due diligence, and then we’ll make a decision and we’ll have an announcement. I can’t commit to a timeline on it.”
