NNPP debunks merger rumour
Rabiu Kwankwaso‘s party, New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has reportedly denied claims of a merger between them and the Labour Party.
Kwankwaso stated in an interview with BBC Hausa recently that the party was meeting with the Labor party for a potential merger towards the 2023 presidential election.
The debate of who will be the presidential and vice-presidential candidate if both parties merge has been the bone of contention among many Nigerians.
According to rumours in the earlier hours of Sunday, June 20, Kwankwaso had agreed to be running mate for Obi.
NNPP has now denied this rumour via its Twitter page.
