Nigerian Army Set To Monitor Suspicious Activities During 2023 General Elections (SEE DETAILS)

The Nigerian Army has taken a significant step towards ensuring the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections by approving a list of hotlines to report any suspicious activity or acts of violence that may disrupt the polls.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, made the announcement earlier today, saying that the move was part of the army’s efforts to support the police in their lead security role for the elections.

In addition to providing guidance and ensuring that troops operate within the provisions of the codes and rules of conduct, the Nigerian Army has circulated the list of hotlines to formations and units across the country. Members of the public are encouraged to call the numbers listed in their respective states, including the Federal Capital Territory, to report any security breaches during the elections.
