Niger State lawmaker booted out in disgrace by furious contituencies

Suleiman Musa Nasko, who represents Magama in the Niger State House of Assembly, was booed and disgraced out of the community by his constituency.

 

The attack happened on Saturday, March 19, when he paid a condolence visit to the family members of those who were victims of terror unleashed by bandits.  A Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and six security operatives were also murdered during the attack.

 

In infuriation, youths of the constituents gathered in mass and chased the convoy of the lawmaker with stones raucously chanting “we are no longer interested”.

 

According to revelation from TopNaija.ng sources, the lawmaker already had a successful meeting with the District Head of Auna when some group of youths started clamoring “only one term”, resulting in a collision between his supporters and the angry youths. The lawmaker managed to flee unhurt due to his security guards.

 

The spokesperson to the lawmaker, Sahabi Mahmud, who confirmed the incident, said that Nasko was not happy with what happened.
