“Naira Marley has top guns behind him” — Tonto Dikeh raises alarm
Naira Marley treated with too much respect for a murder suspect — Tonto Dikeh analyzes the musician’s return and confidence amidst arrest.
Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has raised eyebrows by alleging that the controversial Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, may have influential political figures supporting him.
Dikeh’s assertion comes in the wake of Naira Marley’s return to Nigeria and subsequent arrest on Tuesday night, linked to the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
The Lagos Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, officially confirmed Naira Marley’s arrest in a statement released on Tuesday night. The singer had recently returned to Nigeria and was taken into custody.
A video circulating online depicted Naira Marley being closely guarded at the airport prior to his departure, sparking widespread discussion and speculation.
Reacting to the developments, Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram account to voice her concerns. She expressed her belief that in the right circumstances, Naira Marley should not be free to use his phone and tweet about his return.
Instead, she suggested that he should be in handcuffs and chains, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive investigation into the death of Mohbad.
Dikeh’s statement implied that Naira Marley‘s apparent confidence might be attributed to influential politicians supporting him.
She called on these unnamed figures to reconsider their association with the singer and ensure that justice is served in the case of Mohbad‘s tragic death.
In her Instagram post, Tonto Dikeh stated,
“Look who has come back to NIGERIA to assist the police investigate why he and Sam Larry tortured Mohbad. I ask again, who is protecting Naira Marley?
“In the right country, Naira should be in handcuffs and chains, rather than he has a phone to tweet.
“Naira Marley’s confidence looks to me like he has some top political underdogs by his side… Now one of the two things, you all better drop him and let justice be served or we will start fishing your names out.
“Right now, we don’t care about ya’ll; we want justice for Mohbad.”
