Rex Kondwani, a 45-year-old Malawian man, has taken his life after his supposed wife gave out a huge sum of money they had earned through gardening work to a church.

TopNaija understands that on September 6 in Muwalo Village, Thyolo District, Malawi, the deceased took his life by hanging himself after his wife donated the K12,000 they had earned to a church.

Confirming the suicide in a statement, George Kaleso, senior superintendent of the Masambanjati Police, revealed that the pair were hired to perform piecework in gardening and received K12,000, which the wife kept.

“Yesterday, when Mr. Kondwani asked for his share, the wife told him she had donated the money to their local church,” he said.

According to him, the woman’s admission sparked a contentious quarrel between themselves. Unfortunately, the man was found dead, hanging from the church’s roof where the money was donated.
