Liverpool vs. Brighton and Hove Albion: Confirmed Lineup

Liverpool versus Brighton and Hove Albion is starting to have some history and narratives about it as the Reds have now gone 9-games without a win against the Seagulls at Anfield or away.

This seems very strange for a Jurgen Klopp side when putting into fact, the last time Liverpool won Brighton on Merseyside was the season they lifted the premier league title.

That game on its end, had some drama to it considering the Reds in the 2019/20 campaign, had a 2-1 clutch win at Anfield thanks to current Skipper, Virgil van Dijk who netted a brace from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner kick to gift Liverpool a 2-goal advantage against Brighton.

However, the Seagulls nearly pulled off a comeback after the Reds went down to 10-men when Lewis Dunk converted a free kick past an unaware Adrian into Liverpool’s goal to put the pressure on the Reds.

Though Liverpool won that tie against the Seagulls, it would be their last win at Anfield against Brighton for three seasons to follow.

Heading into their upcoming clash, the Reds will be hoping for a change of narratives this time around as vital points stand at stake as they remain in the title race.

The previous times Liverpool failed to carve out a win in this fixture, vital points needed to win the league was thrown away; the 2021/22 season where the Reds were chasing the quadruple.

With Brighton currently a shadow of their previous season’s self, Liverpool cannot resist taking the advantage or risk their title challenge crumbling before the final match day of the season.

That however, depends on the team that lines up for Liverpool.

Here goes the Confirmed Lineup for both sides;
