Liverpool icon advises club to go for 'Sadio Mane'

Since Liverpool legend, Sadio Mane departed the Reds, they have not had any winger close enough to his mold to talk of a perfect replacement being found in the heart of Liverpool’s attack.

Though Luis Diaz has shown signs of being that winger to progress the ball, the Colombian has lacked a lot of the tidbits the legendary Senegalese brought with him to Merseyside during his days putting on the Red shirt.

However, Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler in a recent interview, believes there is a premier league player who could bring what Sadio Mane brought to the 19-times Champions of England.

Fowler has urged his former club to consider signing Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak. Fowler sees similarities between the Swedish striker and ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane, suggesting Isak could be a valuable addition to the Reds’ squad.

Isak enjoyed a stellar 2023-24 season, scoring 25 goals in 40 matches for Newcastle. Despite interest from Arsenal, Fowler believes Liverpool should prioritize the forward.

In an interview with Crypto Casino LTD, Fowler also recommended Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as another potential target for Liverpool. He praised both players’ abilities and fit for the team.

“There are two players I would genuinely like to see at the club; Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak,” Fowler said.

“I think Watkins has just signed a new deal, but I’ve got a lot of time for him and I think he is brilliant. Isak, for me, reminds me of Sadio Mané as well. I don’t want to put things in people’s heads, but I think he would be a good fit as well.”
