IT Was Just A Game But Liverpool Took The Hate Too Far

Was it a humiliation or hate taken too far? Liverpool vs. Manchester United was something else that took the world by surprise.

They call it the English Clasico, and sure as hell, the score line shows it goes beyond that. Liverpool have just decimated Manchester United to ribbons at Anfield and stolen all 3 points and dignity away from Manchester United.

One would be confused to think it was a Premier League game between two dark and fierce rivals, but Liverpool came for blood, and wanted to drown every inch of Manchester United in it before leaving whatever was left for pundits to talk about.

The Red Devils had started their top form of this season with their very first win of the season against Liverpool, going from there on to consecutive wins and nabbing a top form berth ahead of their Merseyside rivals who sank deep into the 9th and 10th spot for most durations of the season.

In what seems like poetic justice, Liverpool seem to have returned the favor with a huge result too shocking to believe on the night. It was a 7-0 victory, at Anfield.

Manchester United had started the game looking to crush Liverpool on their own turf, but minutes before half-time, January signing, Cody Gakpo outclassed the Red Devils to hit Liverpool ahead before the break.

The Red Devils who had made it quite the tradition a few games back to perform feats of comeback, were denied this time around with Liverpool returning from the break to hit 6 times past Goal keeper, David De Gea.

Darwin Nunez came on the score sheet, with Gakpo netting again 3 minutes after in the 50th minute. Mohamed Salah hit what has now become a traditional goal against Manchester United to make the situation dire for United at 4-0.

Darwin Nunez added a second to make it a brace against Manchester United and to revive last season’s trauma for Manchester United as the Reds ran home with 5-0 score line at Old Trafford. However, Liverpool thought it was better do last season’s result better with 2 more goals to elate the Anfield crowd.

Mohamed Salah got his brace with an assist from want-away man, Roberto Firmino, Firmino got his own goal as Salah returned the favor to make the situation critical at 7-0.

Manchester United had come for a game, but Liverpool went too far and went for Violence. This Is Anfield, reads the crowd, and for sure Manchester United went home thinking it was nothing but the truth.
