I can’t believe I’m this successful – Iyabo Ojo gushes

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo said she never knew she would be successful in life especially with her journey as a single mother.

The actress stated this on Thursday in a gratitude post on her verified Instagram page.

The mother of two, Priscilla and Festus, narrated her journey as a single mother.

She added that she felt like a loser, someone with no direction.

Sharing a photo of the year she began her journey as a single mother, Iyabo Ojo said:

“This year I began my journey as a single mum with no direction. I was afraid, sometimes depressed, confused, I always had a lot of anxiety.

“I felt like a failure, a loser, I felt I wasn’t good enough, I felt little, I didn’t know how to fit in or even start,… how was I even going to pull through,?

“Never did I think that I will make it in life, I just wanted my kids to be fine, that was my ultimate goal. All I knew to do was to love my kids immensely and give them all of me & which inspired me to keep moving.

“Today I look back & all I want to say is thank you, Lord. It’s never too late to start all over again. It will be tough but you will be fine. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. #thestoryofasinglemum #istillbeliveinlove #iamhappyandblessed #memories

Iyabo Ojo was born as Alice Iyabo Ogunro on 21 December 1977 in Lagos, Nigeria, although her father was from Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was the youngest of three children, having two older brothers. She went to school in Lagos at National College, Gbagbada, before proceeding to study Estate Management at Lagos State Polytechnic.
