"How can anyone Hate Mohamed Salah?" -- Dejan Lovren

At a time the world couldn’t be any more divided, and where celebrities choose to stay politically correct and away from political topics, Liverpool‘s Mohamed Salah chooses to go against popular religious criticism, to celebrate Christmas.

The Liverpool forward on Christmas day, released a post celebrating Christmas while preaching its essence and advocating peace and unity for those in Palestine.

Though the Liverpool legend has faced criticism for his Palestine stance, and of course from Muslims for associating himself with Christmas, former teammate and friend, Dejan Lovren took to backing Mohamed Salah on social media.

In a retweet of Salah’s Twitter post; Dejan Lovren shared;

“I knew that Mo has a good heart, but putting himself with a post of a Christmas tree in his house, shows how much his heart and mind is open to every one of you dear people.

“He is showing love and affection for people who have no families in moments of war and hate.”

The former Liverpool Centre Back also added;

“His love and his strength will always make him special, that’s why God blessed him. He knows that he is doing the right thing. So don’t judge him. Instead show the respect. God bless you Mo.”

On Christmas day, the former Chelsea forward posted a photo of a Christmas tree while also sharing a post on the essence of the holiday.

Mohamed Salah wrote on his X profile;

“Christmas is a time when families get together and celebrate. With the brutal war going on in the Middle East, especially the death and destruction in Gaza, this year we get to Christmas with very heavy hearts and we share the pain of those families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.

“Please do not forget them and do not get used to their suffering. Merry Christmas.”
