How 10 expatriates escaped as bandits kill four officers in Kebbi

No less than 10 expatriates working in a tomatoes processing plant in Kebbi State have been rescued after an attack by bandits.

 

The Police Command in Kebbi State confirmed the development on Tuesday.

The expatriates were working in a tomatoes processing plant in the Warra area of Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that suspected bandits stormed the area and kidnapped the expatriates.

SP Nafi’u Abubakar, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) added that four police officers and a civilian, however, paid the supreme price.

 

Over 2,000 children and young people have been abducted in Nigeria this year, according to the UN. A recent incident was in Zamfara in September when 73 pupils were abducted from a secondary school. In July, 140 pupils at Bethel Baptist high school in Kaduna state were snatched, although 25 escaped..
