Herbalist breaks into Osun graveyard, exhumes human head for ritual

A young herbalist has been apprehended for allegedly stealing a female corpse’s head and intestine at an Osun State Cemetery.

On Saturday, September 17, the Men of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service in Ede, Osun State, confirmed the arrest of a herbalist, identified as Ismail Adewuyi, 28, for allegedly stealing a female corpse’s head and intestines at the Muslim Cemetery, Oke Yidi, in the Ede area of the state.

TopNaija understands that the ritualist was caught with different charms after he stormed into the graveyard in the wee hours of Saturday to steal the female corpse’s head and bring out its intestine.

His luck ran out after a member of the hunters gang suspected Adewuyi’s Movement and arrested him.

According to a source, the suspect, while interrogated by members of the security outfit, said he was a herbalist.

The source said, “Herbalist breaks into Osun graveyard, exhume human head for ritual him recorded his confession on video. The suspect is with the police.”

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, claimed to have arrested of the suspect, as investigation had commenced.

Opalola said, “On Saturday, around 1.25am, a member of Nigeria Hunter in Ede, arrested one Adewuyi Ismail, 28, of Oke-Ola, Agbagudu, Ede, and brought him to the station with an unknown fresh female head and intestines.

“The suspect was arrested around 1am at the Muslim Cemetery, Oke Yidi, Abere Road, Ede. The investigation is in progress.”
