Funeral service for late Yinka Odumakin [PHOTOS]

The funeral service for the spokesperson of the pan-Yoruba sociopolitical group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, started on Thursday with a lying-in-state ceremony which took place at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Yinka Odumakin was laid in state at the Police College, Ikeja, with accolades from many prominent Nigerians who commended his virtues.

Odumakin died on Saturday, April 3, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

His wife disclosed that he died due to COVID-19 complications after recovering from the virus.

Odumakin’s remains will depart Lagos on Friday for his hometown, Moro, in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State.

There will be lying-in-state at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Origbo Anglican Grammar School, Moro, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. after which his remains will be buried at a private service.
