Foursquare Ex-GO’s wife, Yinka Badejo dies 3 months after hubby Wilson

Rev Mrs. Yinka Badejo, the widow of Rev Wilson Badejo, ex- General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church Nigeria, has dead at the age of 72.

 

TopNaija learnt she died after being ill for a while in the early hours of Friday, November 12, 2021.

Although there has been no official statement from the church, multiple reports indicated she died at the weekend after a protracted illness.

Her death is happening a little over three months after her husband, who died on 7 August.

According to reports, Yinka Badejo fell ill before her husband passed on, but she outlived him till 12 November, when she also answered eternal call.

A Pastor in Foursquare Gospel Church confirmed the news to TopNaija on Monday.

Yinka Badejo was born on 26 October 1949, at Idioro, Ibadan, in Oyo State.

She went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Library Studies in 1975 from the University of Ibadan.

She then got married to Reverend (Dr) Wilson Badejo, the same year.

She attended Foursquare Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, Lagos, where she obtained a degree in Theology in 1998.

She was Deputy President of Foursquare Women International.

Messages of condolences have been pouring forth as news of her transition went round.

Ope-Olu Taiwo also posted on Facebook: “Soulmates, friends and lovers bound together, even death could not separate them! It’s a rude shock, but, God is all-knowing. Rest on till the glorious Resurrection morning, a true Mother in Israel!”.

Adewumi Olumuyiwa said: Rest in peace mummy. We will continue to miss you here till we meet to part no more over there.
