Queen Ola, the estranged wife of late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III has taken to social media to mourn his death with an emotional tribute.

Queen Badirat Ajoke Olaitan, who is currently in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, has penned down a heartfelt tribute to mourn the late monarch who died on Friday, April 23.

Recall the late Yoruba monarch died at age 83 in the late hours of Friday and was buried according to Islamic rites on Saturday.

Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, April 25, the Queen shared a photo of the late Yoruba monarch as she described how tight their relationship was and how they were best of friends until she knew who his favorite wife was.

She added that despite death, the late Alaafin would continue to be there as the best father, teacher, mentor, and husband that ever bestrode the landscapes.

She wrote; “We were practically best of friends but the moment they had an inklings about whom your favorite was, everything flopped.

“Alas! the kids and I can’t see you anymore nor converse with you any longer but I vehemently believe you are seeing us, how I wish we can still have few words because I’ve got a whole lot to tell you. I’m bereft of what to tell the boys especially, Adejuwon, because at his age, he reads and and surf the net so much that curiosity gets hold of him and has already know a lot about you. [SIC]

You remain to me, a best father, teacher and mentor and husband that ever bestrode the landscapes.”
