Erik ten Hag cannot inspire Manchester United — Noel Gallagher
Oasis musician and Manchester City fan, Noel Gallagher had quite the lot to say on Erik ten Hag and Man United following the derby win in Sunday’s 0-3 defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The singer-songwriter expressed quite the criticism for Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag and a couple of his players, particularly Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, and winger, Antony.
Speaking on TalkSport, the City fan expressed his opinion on Erik ten Hag’s management of City’s next door neighbors. United.
According to Noel Gallagher, contrary to what has been said about the Dutchman, Erik ten Hag was never a ‘rated’ manager.
He stressed that of all the managers that could influence the many personalities in the Manchester United dressing room, it was never going to be the former Ajax boss.
In a quote traced to the Oasis legend, Gallagher said;
“I have never rated the manager… he just doesn’t look like he could inspire a dressing room to me.”
He also added on Red Devils’ controversial winger, Antony, who despite facing charges of domestic violence still featured in the Manchester derby.
In his analysis of the Brazilian, Noel Gallagher likened the former Ajax player to a moron following his reaction on pitch to City forward, Jeremy Doku;
“Then, you get Antony coming on and behaving like an absolute moron.”
The City fan left no stones unturned in his analysis of City’s bitter rivals, as he also had words for Manchester United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes;
“Bruno, how he is not getting booked every game for dissent by the referee is beyond me because he is forever in the referee’s ear. He challenges every single decision, it is so annoying, and he is not even that good,” Noel Gallagher said.
