Dufil foods to slash price of Indomie noodles

Dufil Prima Foods Ltd, famous for being the producer of the renowned fast food Indomie Instant Noodles, has revealed its intentions to cut prices of the famous noodles.

In a statement, they also disclosed the factors behind the recent decrease in the product’s costs following a significant surge observed a few months ago.

In an interview with the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos, Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju, the Group Corporate Communications and Event Manager of the corporation, elucidated that the recent price cut is attributed to a substantial improvement in the country’s economy rather than a decline in patronage.

Ashiwaju emphasized the importance of dispelling any misconceptions surrounding the recent adjustment in the product’s pricing. He noted that economic realities had previously led to escalating costs for Indomie noodles, necessitating a response from the company.

He stated, “For a listening company such as ours, we felt at some point in time, against our operational cost, to adjust when things started to improve. We are not here to rip people’s out. Of course, if you starve people and make the products out of reach, it will also affect us.”

The decision to reduce prices, Ashiwaju explained, coincided with a decrease in operational costs. He reiterated the company’s commitment to serving its customers, highlighting the core value placed on meeting the needs of consumers.

He further elaborated, “Reduction in prices came when the operational cost started to go down. We don’t have a choice than to adjust to realities of times and other indices as they improve because serving people are at the centre of our core value.”

Ashiwaju underscored Dufil Prima Foods Ltd’s longstanding presence in Nigeria, spanning over two decades, with factories and installations spread across the country. This move to reduce prices reflects the company’s responsiveness to economic trends and its dedication to providing affordable products to consumers amid changing circumstances.
