Don’t go to Chelsea—Former Liverpool player warns Gordon

Anthony Gordon is one player Chelsea and its manager, Thomas Tuchel has fixated eyes on this summer after the player’s breakthrough season last season.

The Everton player according to reports, is very much keen on the move, with news stating the player has informed the club of his interests to foster a move to Stamford Bridge.

But for former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy, he doesn’t think the move to Chelsea will improve Gordon’s career moving forward.

According to Murphy, it will do more good if the £60m rated player stays at Goodison Park at least for this season despite the interest from Chelsea.

The former Liverpool midfielder has been very impressed by the Toffees’ 21-year-old, who turned up for the club during its fight against relegation last season and now is reportedly the subject of a £60million offer to move to Stamford Bridge.

“I completely understand the interest,” Murphy said on talkSPORT, “I think he’s a brilliant prospect.

“He’s got lovely balance, two good feet, very courageous on the ball, goes hunting the ball down to make things happen.

“That’s a real trait in a young player, especially in an Everton side last year struggling.

“I think, for the lad, he will benefit more from playing another year at Everton, definitely.”

Chelsea from their performances this season, could very much use an attacker should the Aubameyang deal fall through, hence the eagerness by the Blues to slam £60m on Anthony Gordon.
