Tragic news comes out of the land of dreams, and it’s become something of an American crisis as a man named Salvador Rolando Ramos, walked into an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas to open fire on American civilians.

The shooting is said to have occurred in Robb Elementary School, with 17 children alleged to have been killed along with 2 police officers, before he was eventually brought down.

Reports also have it that earlier before the incident, Ramos had shot and wounded his grandmother.

Ramos is then reported to have proceeded to the school where he crashed a black SUV into a ditch outside of the school.

According to the police, Ramos was seen wearing body armor, a backpack, and all black clothing while carrying a fire arm revealed to be an AR-15 style rifle and high capacity magazines while walking through the school’s south entrance at around 11:30 a.m.

Ramos shot a UCISD police officer who had attempted to stop him from entering the building before taking down other victims.

The elementary school is said to have a population of about 90% Hispanic students and about 81% of its population coming from economically disadvantaged homes, in a city that contains almost a half population of non English speakers.

Salvador Rolando Ramos who was aged 18 was said to have been a resident of Uvalde and a student at Uvalde High School.

This is reportedly the 27th American school shooting in 2022 since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the deadliest ever in Texas.

Celebrities have reacted to the incident with former How To Get Away With Murder star, Viola Davis, writing on her Facebook page:

“No words. At what point are we going to either admit we have a HUGE problem or we can no longer bear to witness the loss of human life.

“THIS is not a political crisis, it is a human crisis!!! But…once again, RIP…it’s reductive and insulting to just give condolences” she wrote with heartbreak emojis.

Indeed sad times for America.
