Court prosecutes 26-year old POS employee for alleged theft of N260,000

Jeceinta Pereire, a 26-year-old employee of a POS outlet at the Iyana School area of Iba in Ojo, was arraigned in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing N260,000 on Monday. 

The accused is charged with conspiracy and theft and Dr Simeon Uche who is the Prosecution Counsel, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 9

The case has been adjourned to May 9 for mention. Dr Simeon said, the offence, fails to comply with the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015 and its punishable.

Magistrate Ademola Adesanya admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
