Cold Palmer is Chelsea's saving grace from relegation -- Redknapp

Chelsea without ‘Cold’ Palmer will be a side struggling at the bottom end of the table, pundit raises debate amidst disastrous season for the Blues.

Jamie Redknapp hits hard at Chelsea over their poor form which to the former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur star, is a relegation battle given any other season if it weren’t for their new signing, Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer, who the media has dubbed ‘Cold Palmer’, has become an exciting prospect in a terrible season for the Blues, chalking up with vital goal contributions that has either won Chelsea games or taken them level on goals with their opponents.

The Englishman was vital in the 4-4 draw versus former club, Manchester City, and was of course vital in the startling 4-3 defeat of Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

In a standout display, Palmer netted a remarkable hat trick as Chelsea secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester United. His exceptional form continued over the weekend, as he played a key role in setting up Noni Madueke’s goal in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.

With his signature ‘cold’ celebration, Cole Palmer has been the signing Pep Guardiola would rue leaving Manchester City.

Redknapp, speaking on Sky Sports following the match, emphasized Palmer’s significance to Chelsea’s success, suggesting that without him, the club could find themselves embroiled in a relegation battle.

He remarked,

“Chelsea would be in a relegation battle if it were not for Cole Palmer.”
