Chelsea set to interview 5 coaches for Manager role

Chelsea Football Club has begun its search for a new permanent head coach after the sacking of Graham Potter on Sunday. The club, which is currently without a manager, has reportedly drawn up a shortlist of at least five potential candidates.

Potter, who was appointed less than seven months ago, was replaced by former Brighton midfielder Bruno Saltor on a temporary basis. However, the club is now looking for a long-term solution to take the team forward.

According to sources, Chelsea’s hierarchy is willing to wait until the end of the 2022/23 season to appoint the new head coach. The club’s sporting directors, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, have been put in charge of the recruitment process and will interview each candidate personally.

The shortlist for Chelsea manager includes former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and former Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino, who are both considered to be top contenders for the job. Other candidates include Napoli’s Luciano Spalletti, former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, and at least one more as yet unnamed candidate.

Chelsea is said to be taking a measured approach to the recruitment process, keen to ensure that they find the right person for the job. The club’s management team is aware of the importance of the role, with the new head coach expected to take charge of a squad that includes some of the most talented players in world football.

The club has a rich history of success, having won numerous domestic and European titles in recent years. However, the pressure is on for the new head coach to deliver results and continue the club’s winning tradition.

It remains to be seen who will ultimately be chosen as the new manager of Chelsea Football Club. However, with the shortlist including some of the most respected names in world football, fans of the club will be eagerly anticipating the decision.
